Hurricane
Evacuation:
In
Florida we have experienced the tension of one hurricane after the other.
Even though in 2004 multiple hurricanes visited Central Florida, the impact,
though still severe, was nothing in comparison to what our coastal areas lived
through.
The biggest obstacle is finding a place were our pets can be safe and cared for
while many of us evacuate. This was one of our important issues in finding a
place to relocate to.
If you want your pet to remain with us during the time a Hurricane lands on our
shore, please contact us with a two days notice. This will help with the
scheduling of dropping off your pet or if you need for us to provide the
transportation.
If wish to make sure that there is room for your pet
you, please call us for the Hurricane Season form.
This consists of a $50.00 fee to reserve room for your pet. (non refundable in
the event there is no hurricane). All proceeds from the non refundable fee are
used for those rescued pets that are currently in our care.
This
Rottweiler became one of Hurricane Wilmas' victim.
After spending six days at our veterinarians, he was able to go home with us.
It took some time in dealing with his weight, injuries and fear.
Unable to find the owner and knowing that all of the facilities were filled at
its maximum, we could not turn our back and Titus became one of our rescues and
a loving part of our family. This is how you help with your non refundable
hurricane fee.
